Winter & Summer Rules

Points – You will go up 1 point at + 2 and ½ point for each point you are + thereafter. You will go down 1/2 point if you are minus 3 or more. The first three weeks you play in the league your points may be adjusted up or down in any amount at the discretion of the league director. Minimum number of points you can be on is 5.

New Player – The first week a new player plays in the league $10.00 of his $20.00 will go to pay his membership in the league.  Points will be established on how he plays that day.

Membership Fee – $10.00 membership will be collected at the start of each season.

Daily Fees – Each player will pay $20.00 to play. $15.00 to the game pot. $5.00 to the skins pot. Participation in the skins pot is no longer optional.

Tees – Play from the Senior tees. NO MULLIGANS !

Placement of Ball – Ball may be cleaned and placed anywhere on the course, within 1 club length of where it lies. However it must be placed in the same type area it lies in. You can’t move it from rough to fairway or out of a sand trap or hazard. You can not move your ball from out of bounds to in bounds.

Sand Traps – Rake and place in the sand within one club length but do not move out of the sand unless there is water in the trap. Then lay out behind the trap keeping it between you and the pin.

Out of Bounds – If your ball could be out of bounds, play a provisional from the place you hit from, with loss of stroke and distance. If you hit the second ball out of bounds on the same hole, pick up and take a double bogey on the hole.

Lost Ball – If a ball is lost drop another ball as close to where it was lost as possible with a one stroke penalty.

Putting – NO GIMMIES. All putts must be putted out. If your ball is not putted out take a double bogie on the hole. The person who gives you a putt on the hole also must take a double bogie. If you see someone break a rule or give a putt it is your responsibility to call the violation.

Bogie Maximum – Pick up after bogie stroke and take a zero on the hole.

USGA rules will govern play, other than the above.

Rain – If it starts to rain during a round and the tournament director calls the game rained out, if any group has completed the round it will stand. If no one has completed 18 holes your money will be refunded and the round will not count.

Slow Play – Please stay up with the group in front of you! Pick up after bogie stroke and take a double bogie on the hole. Please do not play extra holes.

Tournament Qualification – Only Members who have competed in 70% of the events will be eligible for the league end championship. 18 events will be needed to qualify for the championship if no events are canceled. (Any event can be played as long as 24 players want to play. The event will count for the championship.)

Score Cards – Please check your score cards before you turn them in. After they are turned in they become official and no changes can or will be made. Turn in your score card as soon as you can.

Starting Times – All Winter League games shotgun at 10:00 AM and the Summer league games shotgun at 9:00 AM.

Check In – You must check in 15 minutes before tee time or you will not be allowed to play in the event. If you are going to be late have someone pay for you.

Hole-in-One – First Hole in one wins the pot. If more than one in any event the pot will be divided.

Notification of participation or non-participation – Call Bob Brooks 865-414-9775 or Junior Dover 865-556-9585 on Wed. before the event to sign up to play if you didn’t play the previous week. If you did play the previous week but aren’t playing the current week, notify Junior on Wednesday before 4 P.M.

Championship Tournaments – The Winter Championship will be the last Thursday in March. The Summer championship will be the last Thursday in September.
